Paperman (2012)

I was going to publish a review of Sunshine, today, but I never ended up getting round to watching it. Instead, I’ve been incredibly engrossed in a video game that I’m playing entirely for myself, instead of so that I can review it. That alone is a rarity these days. In order to ensure that I’ve got something to go up today, I ended up trawling through a list of short films and settled on this one, Paperman, which lasts six minutes and can be watched through Disney+. How much one can say about a six minute video, I do not know exactly, but I suppose we’ll all find out, won’t we?

Kill Command (2016)

So I was dozing off towards the end of the film, thinking it was quite dull, but the hour or so nap I had when the credits had rolled tells me that, perhaps, I was more tired than I thought. It was still dull, though.

Serenity (2005)

Well, it wouldn’t be right for me to write about Firefly and then not follow that up with Serenity, would it? A lot of what I write may seem self-serving, but I’m not enough of a bastard to leave you in the lurch like that. It’s why there’s about a hundred games in my library, maybe more, that I’ve deliberately not reviewed because I don’t own the whole series.

28 Weeks Later (2007)

Happy Halloween! It is the last day of Spooktober! It’s been a long time coming, for me especially, what with having written the first review for this festive period back in February, and thinking about it it might actually have been even earlier. The things I do for you lot. To wrap things up, we’re taking a look at 28 Weeks Later, the sequel to 28 Days Later, which I rather conveniently published my thoughts on back on, you guessed it, the 28th. And some people think I make this all up as I go along!

28 Days Later (2002)

We’re coming up to the closing stages of this year’s Spooktober content and this seems as good a time as any to let you know that things are going to be a bit calmer for the rest of the year. November will, as with most of the year, feature a weekly new music review, something to watch for a Wednesday and then a game review on Friday. December’s where you’ll notice the real difference, so I’m going to focus on the weekly music pieces, with the Xmas number one for Monday 25th, and then the usual monthly music piece. Spooktober takes a lot out of me, and with changes going on at the day job, I can’t justify putting so many hours into here between now and New Year. Just the way it is, and I’m sure you understand. With that out of the way, let’s crack on with the movie, shall we?

Omen III: The Final Conflict (1981)

Before anyone says anything, yes, I know they did a fourth Omen film in the original series. I also know they did a remake. I’m not covering them this year, and perhaps never. They called this one The Final Conflict, it can bloody well be the end of it!

Scream VI (2023)

Roughly 28 hours, six movies and a lot of writing later, I’ve managed to work my way through the (current) series of Scream movies. Apparently, in the last few days they announced a director for the sequel, which I presume they’ll call SC7EAM or something. I swear, if that ends up being the case, you’ll owe me a like and a follow.

Scream (2022)

I swear, by the end of this weekend I’m going to be seeing Ghostface when I blink. Could be worse, I suppose, but still. I have seen an awful lot of on-screen stabbings, shootings and fighting with that particular brand of masked killer. This is the fifth of six movies, and this afternoon I’ll be finishing the series (as it currently stands) off. I could probably do the TV series too, but I certainly can’t fit it in for this year’s Spooktober. Perhaps I should consider that, and the Child’s Play shows for next year? Feel free to let me know if you want that. Also, heads up, I’m not doing as Scooby Doo impression with some of the wording here.

Predators (2010)

You know, I really struggle with writing the word “predator”. I always comes out first as preadator, which is obviously wrong and would make me look an idiot if I ended up leaving it like that in one of these reviews. Good job I’ve spotted them all so far, right? Right?
