Gamedec (2021)

This is one of those games that I loved the look of the first time I saw it and knew I had to play it. In retrospect, I could take it or leave it. Perhaps, saying that here means that you don’t need to read the rest of this, and you’re right, you probably don’t, but hey, do it anyway, yeah? Please?

Cyberpunk 2077 (2020)

To say that Cyberpunk 2077 was released in 2020 seems farcical, considering the nightmarish launch that it hard, but that’s the release date on Steam so I’m going to go with it. The biggest game of the year, the biggest failed launch of the decade and then maybe the biggest comeback too? Let’s have a look.

The Ascent (2021)

The Ascent is one of those games that I knew I would want to play as soon as I saw it and then somehow ended up with two copies of, in the space of about a week. How? Ruiner (2017)

I’ve been keeping awfully busy with my content making lately – in fact, I believe this marks the half-way point in my pre-writeable content for September, once this piece is finished. It’s still August for a few days yet, for me, so I’m really genuinely ahead on quite a few bits and bobs here. Can’t do much about the new music stuff, of course, but outside of that, I’m making plays, reader.

Stray (2022)

Stray is, at 33 days old at time of writing, the most recent game in my ever-expanding collection and is something I wouldn’t have considered actually getting so soon, were it not for owning the Steam Deck. It really is opening up some options for me and while I know I go on about it a bit, it’s only because I’m so pleased that I got the darn thing. But was it worth getting Stray?

Cloudpunk (2020)

We’ve reviewed a variety of games here on TGTRS; from FPS to RPG; puzzle to simulation; endurance to strategy. Turns out, this month, we’re doing a mostly science fiction batch. I know this, of course, because this is the last review of the month for me to write. Yes, I’ve already done next week’s piece of writing. It pays to be ahead. Trust me. Today, we cover Cloudpunk and seek to answer the question we ask of all video games. Is it any good?
